Yes, relationships are risky. And painful. And reminders of previous pains. But they are crucial to becoming who we should be. Let’s not avoid relational risk. Let’s invest in the lives of those around us.
I love reading the stories of Jesus spending time with His disciples. Not just in temples. Not just like our normal routine of church service rituals. They experienced conversations, illustrations, teaching and training. In homes. On ancient streets. In boats and storms and parties.
Jesus spent real time to really love people. He proclaimed truth, balancing joyful hope and interesting parables and angry rebukes.
Today, let us analyze ourselves. Are we investing in relationships? They are there, waiting. God is here, watching. Order a meal with a friend or two to bring more to your life and theirs.
That’s good!
