We don’t talk about endurance very often anymore.

Not the kind that keeps going when you’re exhausted. Not the kind that chooses faith when everything in you wants to quit.

But that’s what Paul handed down to Timothy in his final letter.

And that’s what we need right now.

Paul told Timothy to stay the course—even when it got hard, even when others gave up, even when the applause faded and the resistance increased.

You might feel that. You might feel it today.

You’re trying to follow Jesus. You’re trying to live with purpose. You’re doing what’s right—but it’s harder than you thought.

That’s when endurance matters most.

Not when everything’s easy, but when everything’s not.

“Endure hardship… keep your head… do the work.” (2 Timothy 4:5)

This isn’t just about working hard. It’s about not giving up when the reward doesn’t come right away.

Paul reminded Timothy to hold tightly to what he’d learned—to go back to Scripture, to remember the people who shaped him, to trust the Word that never fades.

We need that reminder, too.

You don’t have to be flashy. You don’t have to be loud. Just stay faithful.

When the world changes. When others fall away. When your heart wavers.

Endurance.

One day at a time. One act of obedience at a time. One long road in the same direction.

Hold on.

Keep going.

Don’t give up.

God is still with you—and that is enough.
